What is excluded from the metal weight
Stones, pearls, enamel, movements and spring bars are not precious metal. We deduct or assess them separately. Including them inflates metal weight and usually leads to a lower gram price.
Solder and base-metal clasp springs also count. In practice, this often means a few tenths of a gram, but we show the deduction so you understand it.
