2.Hosting

This website is hosted by an external service provider, Vercel Inc., 340 S Lemon Ave #4133, Walnut, CA 91789, USA. The provider processes technical data on our behalf as required to provide and secure the website.

Processing is based on our legitimate interest in providing our online services securely and efficiently (Article 6(1)(f) GDPR). A data processing agreement under Article 28 GDPR is in place with the provider.

3.Server log files

When you access our website, the server automatically collects information transmitted by your browser. This includes, in particular:

  • Browser type and version
  • Operating system used
  • Referrer URL, the previously visited page
  • Date and time of access
  • IP address in truncated or anonymised form

This data is processed exclusively to ensure trouble-free operation and improve security (Article 6(1)(f) GDPR). It is not combined with other data sources.

4.Cookies and consent management

We use cookies and similar technologies. Non-essential cookies, such as those for statistics and marketing, are only set with your consent (Article 6(1)(a) GDPR). Technically necessary cookies are used on the basis of our legitimate interest (Article 6(1)(f) GDPR).

We use the Cookiebot consent management platform (Usercentrics A/S, Copenhagen, Denmark) to manage your consent. Cookiebot saves your choices and blocks services until consent is given.

Our cookie page provides a complete, continuously updated overview of all cookies used, including provider, purpose and duration, and allows you to withdraw or adjust your consent at any time.

5.Contacting us

When you contact us by phone, email or WhatsApp, your details are stored to process the enquiry and handle any follow-up questions. We do not share this data without your consent.

The legal basis is Article 6(1)(b) GDPR for steps prior to entering a contract, or Article 6(1)(f) GDPR for handling your request.

Contact via WhatsApp is also subject to the privacy policy of WhatsApp Ireland Ltd. Data is transferred to the provider's servers. Please do not send particularly sensitive information via WhatsApp.

6.Price calculator and selling enquiries

Our price calculator allows you to obtain a non-binding valuation and then send a callback or selling enquiry. If you provide contact details, such as your name, phone number and optional email, together with the calculated items, we process them exclusively to handle your enquiry and prepare a possible contract (Article 6(1)(b) GDPR).

To prevent abuse and spam, we also process a truncated, irreversibly hashed form of your IP address (Article 6(1)(f) GDPR). Your enquiry is stored in our internal database. We receive email notifications of incoming enquiries.

7.Google Ads and conversion tracking

With your consent, we use Google Ads, including conversion tracking, provided by Google Ireland Ltd. This lets us measure which advertisements lead to enquiries. A cookie is set when you reach our website through a Google advertisement.

For more accurate measurement, we use Enhanced Conversions. Contact details such as email and phone number are irreversibly hashed using SHA-256 in your browser before being sent to Google for matching. No plain-text contact data is transmitted for this purpose.

We use Google Consent Mode v2. Without your consent, no advertising or analytics cookies are set; only anonymous, cookieless signals are transmitted. The legal basis is your consent (Article 6(1)(a) GDPR).

8.Microsoft Clarity

With your consent, we use Microsoft Clarity (Microsoft Corporation) to analyse usage behaviour through tools such as aggregated heatmaps and session statistics. This helps us improve the website's usability.

Processing takes place exclusively on the basis of your consent (Article 6(1)(a) GDPR), which you can withdraw at any time through the cookie settings.

9.Google Maps

Our website links to Google Maps (Google Ireland Ltd.) to help you find our shop. You are only redirected to Google when you actively click the link, at which point Google's privacy policy applies. No map is loaded on our own page.

10.Data transfers to third countries

Some services used, such as Google, Microsoft, WhatsApp and Vercel, may transfer data to the USA. Where a provider is certified under the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework, a European Commission adequacy decision applies. Standard contractual clauses under Article 46 GDPR are also used to ensure an appropriate level of data protection.

11.Storage duration

We store personal data only for as long as required for the relevant purposes or by statutory retention periods.

When buying items, we are required by Germany's Anti-Money Laundering Act (GwG), commercial law and tax law to retain certain data. These records are stored for the legally prescribed periods, usually five or ten years, and then deleted.

12.Your rights

As a data subject, you have the following rights:

  • Right of access (Article 15 GDPR)
  • Right to rectification (Article 16 GDPR)
  • Right to erasure (Article 17 GDPR)
  • Right to restriction of processing (Article 18 GDPR)
  • Right to data portability (Article 20 GDPR)
  • Right to object to processing (Article 21 GDPR)
  • Right to withdraw consent with effect for the future (Article 7(3) GDPR)

To exercise your rights, simply send an informal message using the contact details above.

13.Right to complain to a supervisory authority

You have the right to complain to a data protection supervisory authority about the processing of your personal data. Our competent authority is the Landesbeauftragte für den Datenschutz Niedersachsen (LfD Niedersachsen), Prinzenstraße 5, 30159 Hannover.

14.SSL/TLS encryption and updates

This website uses SSL/TLS encryption for security. You can recognise an encrypted connection by the padlock symbol in your browser's address bar and the address beginning with "https://".

We update this privacy policy whenever changes in data processing or the law require it. The current version published here applies.
